Malcolm X Vs. Mike Rose
When I read them they had a quick similarity, they both showed a piece of the writer in the way of the personality of the writer. I got to understand the writer through great detail of their memories. Both pieces seem to look at society but that is where they start to differentiate from each other. Malcolm starts to learn ways of learning to communicate through writing and reading which then leads him to his nationality in society and his national history. While Mike Rose's is looking for the Social norm within the society of his school and teenage society. Both pieces show a deep experience that the authors were willing to show to the world in order to give the same feeling that they once felt long ago when they were taught or learned these lessons. When I ask myself the question which story had more impact on me it would have to be Malcolm X, he achieved many goals within the confinement of barbed wire and metal bars. He taught himself how to read and write be copying the whole dictionary, he learned about his history, including many others, and how they have been "white washed" through history. In the end Malcolm X and Mike Rose blogs are similar in a few great ways and are very different in many small ways.

Good work here and in the other posts on looking at the texts holistically while also attending to important detail!
